Wednesday was spent traveling home from CasinoPalooza 4. Of course we stopped at the Steelville Casey's for gas, and our final bathroom break before reaching the Mansion. As I was buying some scratchers (won $15), I noticed something out the front window.
It was moving. What in the not-heaven WAS that???
If it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck... it's a DUCK, by cracky!
You know what's better than seeing a duck on the Casey's parking lot in Steelville, Missouri?
Seeing TWO ducks!
What's NOT so great is zooming in on the picture, looking at the area about midway between the two ducks, and seeing a COIN that I could have picked up! I'm pretty sure it's a quarter. Maybe a nickel. Dang it! I was distracted by the ducks!
Are the ducks a sign that spring is well on the way? I hope they didn't get frightened off when you started up the car again. Too bad about the coin. Maybe it's still there....
ReplyDeleteRiver,
ReplyDeleteThe ducks wandered over to eat something that had been dropped. I couldn't tell what it was. Bright orange. Looked like cantaloupe. The seemed pretty tame. Maybe they were somebody's backyard pet. There are houses in the area.
That coin must have been meant for someone else, or I would have seen it while I was there!
Our pond geese have returned to raise another family, so I guess Spring is here. I found a nickle in my parking lot yesterday while I was cleaning out the front flower beds and loading the debris in my trailer I have hooked up to my golf cart. Thought about you!
ReplyDeleteKathy,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your future feathered babies, but mostly on your NICKEL! When it comes to coinage, I have far-reaching influence. Global, even.
