The previous, perhaps-paranormal, incidents that spooked The Pony happened the week he moved into Pony House, before our recent CasinoPalooza. This one was on the morning after he returned. I got a text at 10:53 when it happened, but sadly for The Pony, I had fallen asleep sitting on the short couch, and didn't see it until a half hour later.
"Another knock! This one was either exterior wall, or *inside the wardrobe from Grandma*"
"Yikes!"
"Pretty sure it was the wardrobe."
"We used to hear footsteps walking across Grandma's bedroom. Grandpa thought it was a burglar one day when he was home for lunch. He even went upstairs with a baseball bat to check on it. Nothing there."
I did not get any response from The Pony after that text. As I type this on Friday at noon-thirty, I'm pretty sure he's okay, and just using his last day off to play computer games.
That house just gets spookier and since it wasn't spooky while Farmer H was working on it, I have to conclude the spook has followed The Pony to his new abode.
ReplyDeleteHave you thought about smudging the house with sage?
ReplyDeleteI have a not so friendly Caspar, and a few times a year I have to do a smudge.
Plain Jane,
ReplyDeleteI have read about such a procedure, but have not tried it. These events have always been more of a prankish nature, like something intended to startle, a bid for attention. If it turns scary, I will give the sage a try. I've also read about putting a line of salt around the perimeter of the house.
River,
ReplyDeleteI just found your comment in the SPAM folder! What is going on with Blogger?
Either Farmer H is just not sensitive to these incidents, or the spook wasn't there until The Pony moved in. We'll see if such activity continues.
I doubt Farmer H hears anything strange! I stopped asking HeWho about strange sounds years ago!
ReplyDeleteKathy,
ReplyDeleteIt's true that Farmer H's hearing is bad, but he also doesn't have THE SHINE like The Pony and I. Genius doesn't have it either.
