I got a text from The Pony on Thursday afternoon. I was not sure what to make of it.
Why was The Pony sending me this picture of mail? He has talked about moving to another state, but Utah is NOT the one. Why would I care about mail from Utah? Is it that unusual around here? I sent back a response:
"?"
"Ladybug. Or, well, the fake kind like Grandma had."
"Oh! Just hot out of the shower..no glasses . Thought it was part of the logo!"
Yes. As you can discern by my text, I am not the best without my glasses.
Clearly (to vision-corrected eyes), there is a ladybug on that piece of mail. Somebody is looking out for The Pony. The recent bad luck could have been worse.

I couldn't tell what that was either AND I have my glasses on, but the ladybug has no spots so I was clueless until the enlargement.
We have all kinds of those "fake kind like Grandma had" coming into our house every day now that the weather is warming up. We have had at least 40 or more of those Asian beetles that seem to think they should live in our house, and it is unacceptable. We never see real lady bugs anymore. Ranee
River,
Thanks, I'm not as blind as I thought! I do believe that bug actually has some spots, but the lighting and the reflection don't allow them to be seen. Gotta be quick to snap a photo of a bug on mail that you're walking with!
Rae,
You could suck them up in a Dustbuster like Grandma did! Before they start living in your drop ceiling, coming into the family room by day, and going back up to sleep at night, heh, heh. She'd let them go outside. It seemed like a Sisyphean task to me, because I'm sure they could find their way back in.
