Even Newmetia Took Notice

I regret to inform the citizens and visitors of Hillmomba that my mother passed away this morning. She went quickly, without pain or suffering, and with an outcry from the citizenry that sometimes life is simply not fair. She will be missed and remembered by all who knew her as Mrs. Hillbilly Mom's mom, that sweet lady who would do anything for anyone.

Except feed my sweet, sweet Juno when she was dumped at her house as a four-week-old puppy.

Juno and I both forgive her.

Even Newmentia took notice. No school tomorrow.
I shall think of it as Hillbilly Mom's Mom's Day.

I love you, Mom. Six a.m. is going to be very lonely for a long, long time.

HM--My heart aches for your loss. You were lucky to have her for so long and have her living so close to you. It sounds like you had some wonderful times with her at the end...

I'm so sorry. I always enjoyed reading the stories about your mother.

Sioux,
Thank you so much. I didn't want to make a big deal of it, but I can't go on pretending that she's still with us. Beaver Cleaver hiding his Brussels sprouts under the mashed potatoes and in his napkin and in his pockets so he wouldn't be left behind on the trip to the big football game would have been more believable than I.

5c11,
Thank you so much. I'm sure I will remember more, or rehash what I've shared. She's unforgettable.

Oh my,I ache for you. Now, you must write the book about your escapades with mama.

Linda,
Thank you. I don't know if the world is ready for such tales. But Mom thought it was ready for stories about REAL CRIMES committed by those Partners in Crime ladies, which they did in order to have plots for their stories.

I have been absent for awhile and I am so sorry to hear this. It was hard when I lost my mom and I wasn't even close to her. I know you will be lonely for a long time. I am thinking of you and shedding a few tears for you.

Kathy,
Thank you so much. It will take a long time, but I have such happy memories of her shenanigans.
