Would You Like Some Shrimp With Your Butter?

The Pony sent me a picture of his supper on Monday.

"My shrimp are swimming in butter!"

"They need a lifeguard!!!"

"They have garlic knots!"

Looks like The Pony saved the garlic knots from the day before, when he ordered pizza after putting together his desk with Farmer H. I imagine the shrimp were the frozen kind, which he cooked in butter.

I'm pretty sure no butter went to waste.

Your title made me smile even before I opened the post. Garlic knots! I tried to make those and they were terrible :(

River,
I guess that's why The Pony gets his garlic knots from Domino's! As for the title, it's definitely a Pony thing. Butter is one of his main food groups.

I loved butter as a child, but my mother only bought Parkay. We only had butter at my grandmother's house on the tobacco farm with the chickens and the pigs, the cow who gave the milk and an old horse named Molly who once thought my knee was a biscuit and was going to have a bite. My tongue craved the rich creamy butter and the fresh milk. All I got was Parkay and milk they froze by the gallon in the freezer because they grocery shopped only once a month. Hated that milk after it thawed, it was just gross!

Kathy,
We never had real butter, either, except at my grandma's house. She bought hers, though. No cows, but they raised hogs and had two gardens. I was never horse-bit, but I fell off the rumpus of Smokey Joe, my cousin's pony who lived there, while riding bareback and trotting up the hill in the front yard by where Grandma used to beat the pants off us in croquet tournaments. She'd hit our ball across the blacktop road, into the woods on the other side! She didn't believe in "letting" us win!
